The Department of Biotechnology was started in the year 2002: It offers B.Tech. Biotechnology course at UG level, M.Tech. sponsored by GAT-B at PG level and Ph.D., at research level. The 17 experienced faculty members are an asset to the department, two of whom are young scientist in DST-SERB and WoS-B by DST, New Delhi. The diversified interests of the faculty members of the department facilitate the teaching learning and research activities of the department. There are totally 10 non-teaching staff and 2 programmers in the department for monitoring day-to-day activities. There is a well appreciated student-staff ratio of about 1:13.4 in the Department.
