HoD Biographical Notes

The Department is steered by Dr.G.Karthikeyan. He was graduated in the discipline of Textile Technology from Pavendar Bharathidasan College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy in 2002. He completed his post graduation in Textile Technology at Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore in 2004. He completed his Ph.D. at Anna University Chennai in 2017. His research areas are fibers, chemical processing, Moisture Management and Comfort. He has 15 years of teaching and industry experience. He has published and presented a number of research papers in international and national journals and conferences. He is a reviewer for the Textile Research Journal and Journal of Industrial Textiles. He has delivered Guest Lectures and chaired Jury in various institutions for many co-curricular activities. He holds life membership in Indian society for Technical Education. He is as Technical committee member for the various National Convention and seminar programmes. He is a recognized assessor for the Integrated Skill Development Scheme run by Ministry of Textile. He has visited a number of IT/ITES and Core industries in Chennai, Bangalore, Coimbatore and Erode and had discussions with HR’s and Technical Heads about the skills sets required for the students. He has been associated with Pearl Global Pvt Ltd, Chennai, in developing the Apps for Needle inventory. He has trained the unskilled candidate through “IL&FS” Skill Development Programme and “AICTE – PMKVY” skill development programme. He is the Center Head of many online exams like GATE, ICICI, SBI, REPCO, TMB, RBI, IIBF, JIPMER, AIMS and CMC Medical exam conducted by TCSiON and Sify Technologies.
