Director Biographical Notes

The department of Master of Business Administration is headed by Dr.A.Lakshmi whose native is Tiruchirappalli. She has more than 30 years of teachning experience. She studied B.A. (Economics) at Holy Cross College, Tiruchirappalli affiliated to Madras University from 1980 to 1983 and secured University X rank and obtained Merit Scholarship for further studies. From 1983-1985 she did M.A (Economics) with Marketing Speicialization at Holy Cross College affiliated to Bharathidasan University and secured University First Rank and Gold Medal. In 1991 she completed her B.Ed Degree in Economics under Annamalai University Distance Education, in 1997 she completed her M.Phil Degree in Economics under Madurai Kamaraj University Distance Learning Programme and in 1998-2000 she completed her MBA with Marketing Specilization under Periyar University. She completed her Ph.D. Degree in Faculty of Economics in 2nd August 2007 and her area of research is “Industrial Economics”. She started her carrier at Holy Cross College as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics in September 1985 and served there for two years and after marriage she came to Erode District and served as Vice Principal and PG Assistant in Economics in P.P.M.Sec.School at Pallipalayam, Erode District for eight years. When MBA Programme was started in the Year 1995 at K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology, Tiruchengode she joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Management Studies on 9th October 1995. She has been promoted as Senior Lectuer in the Department of Master of Business Administration in July 2003, Assistant Professor in July2004, Assistant Professor and HoD in June 2005, Professor and HoD in July 2007 and Director and HoD in December 2009. At present her focus as Director and Head is to work for the facelift of the department. She is the approved Supervisor in Faculty of Management Studies under Anna University, Chennai and got Guideship in 2008. So far 10 candidates were completed Ph.D under her supervision and at present 4 members are pursuing Ph.D. She acted as External Examiner for Ph.D Public Viva for 3 Ph.D.Scholars under Anna University. Her current research work focuses on Marketing and Finance.
