National Instruments Academy(NICE)
Our Institution has signed MoU with National Instruments, Banglore on 14th May 2012, with an outlay of about 2.25 Crores to be invested over a period of four years. The objective of the center provides the necessary expertise, facilities and technical know-how for undertaking R&D projects in emerging interdisciplinary areas of relevant to industry and also provide opportunities for students to develop their skills in robotics and automation, signal processing, sensors, drives and controls and to conduct workshops/seminar to increase the awareness of this technology among students and faculty. The center encourages students in various disciplines to carry out projects in all India level events.
The center will provide interactive powerful and flexible tools for instrumentation and data logging for quickly acquiring analyzing and presenting data and it is integrated with thousands of hardware devices and hundreds of built-in libraries for advanced analysis and data visualization.
The center has the following hardware facilities,
- NI Compact RIO & NI Elvis – II+
- Robotics Single board RIO Starter kit (version 2.0)
- ARM Microcontroller starter kit & Fiber Optic communication board
- Data Acquisition Card (DAQ) & CDAQ slot with Wi-Fi Chassis
- Universal AI Module, Analog IO Module, High voltage AI Module, Current Input Module & Digital IO Module
- Industrial Accelerometer, impact hammer, Rotary Inverted pendulum, Vernier Bio-Instrumentation Sensor
- Q-Net DC motor control board & Q-Net Mechatronics Sensors
